Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Fox River Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of the resurfacing and widening of a 770 linear foot hot-mix asphalt path, sidewalk removal, portland cement concrete sidewalk construction, relocation of signs, parkway restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Fox River Grove is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Fox River Grove for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
