Site work for a civil project in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Underground Storage Tank Upgrade - 1.1 Furnish and deliver all materials, labor and equipment necessary for the UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK (UST) UPGRADE for the County of Lehigh. 1.2 Work shall consist of replacing the existing automatic tank gauge and steel underground piping system. Excavate around the tank top piping sump and interstice riser, sawcut and hammer a section of the existing 10 inch concrete tank pad at the tank sump and interstice riser. Haul concrete off-site. Remove the existing corroded steel riser pipe at brine filled tank interstice. Replace with 4 inch schedule 40 PVC pipe to subgrade. Reinstall backfill and existing manhole at grade. Excavate and remove clean soil from the existing tank to the building wall and remove the existing steel piping and dispose of it properly. Collect soil samples and analyze per current PA DEP requirements. Provide clean stone backfill into the piping trench for the new chase pipe and double wall supply & return piping. Note: The supply is an American safe style suction system, and the return is a pressurized system. Supply and install new flexible chase piping with bulkhead entry fitting at tank top sump. Supply and install one piping sump fiberglass retrofit "top hat" with watertight lid onto existing tank sump. Supply and install two (2) 1 inch schedule 40 steel supply and return pipes between the new underground product lines and tie into the existing piping. Reinstall stockpiled clean backfill and new stone backfill over the new piping with utility ID tape. Supply and install replacement concrete where removed. Fill area with a combination clean stone backfill and clean soil, rake and seed area of excavation. Remove the existing obsolete tank monitor console and tank probe and return to Hafer Equipment for proper disposal.
