PROJECT LOCATION: North Admiral, the bridge carries SW Admiral Way and spans in the east-west direction between Walnut Ave SW and 39th Ave SW 2500 R FAIRMOUNT AVE SW, SEATTLE WA PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The seismic retrofit of the Admiral Way Bridges includes the following general items of work: strengthening of steel column bents, new bracing at concrete pier bents, retrofit of bridge deck joints, bridge abutment retrofit, slope stabilization, strengthening with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), and steel painting. THIS IS A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECT (FHWA) THE FOLLOWING IS APPLICABLE TO FEDERAL AID PROJECTS: The City of Seattle, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin, in consideration for an Award. THIS PROJECT IS A COVERED PROJECT SUBJECT TO THE CITY OF SEATTLE'S COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AGREEMENT (CWA) AND PRIORITY HIRE SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting. Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city's construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers.
