Roof Replacement Project Fire Station 4 SCOPE OF WORK
The City of High Point is actively seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendor(s) to provide all materials, labor, and equipment for the roof replacement project
for Fire Station #4 located at 930 Old Winston Road, High Point, NC 27265. The award contractor will: o Contactor to obtain all necessary permits and follow all OSHA safety guidelines
o Tear off existing fiberglass shingles deck and repair and replace as needed, do not tear off what cannot be dried back in during the day
o Provide and install approved synthetic underlayment
o Provide and install approved ice/water shield in the valleys
o Inspect all flashing and repair/replace as needed
o Provide and install architectural shingles (color to be approved by owner), 3-tab is not allowed
o All shingles must receive a minimum of 6 nails
o Replace all rubber pipe boots
o Provide and install ridge vent approved by shingle manufacturer, 3-tab is not allowed
o ADD ALT OPTION: Replace gutters with 8in. pre or shop-fabricated commercial box gutters and downspouts. Downspouts to be properly connected to existing drainage system.
o Remove all debris and sweep area for any nails daily. Sweep areas with high power magnet 3 times. CONTRACT PRICING:
Proposals shall include pricing for the scope of work, all labor, time and materials. LATE BIDS:
Any bid proposal received after the proposal due date and time shall not be considered. and will be returned unopened. REJECTION OF PROPOSAL: The City of High Point reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, to waive any informality in proposals received, to accept or reject any or all of the items in the proposal, and to award the contract in whole or in part and/or negotiate any or all items with individual Proposers if it is deemed in the City's best interest. Moreover, the City reserves the right to make no selection if proposals are deemed to be outside the fiscal constraint or not in the best interest of the City.
