Renovation of a municipal facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed proposals for the City of Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department Roof Replacement project located at 2560 Bailey Road Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Bidders must use the printed forms provided therefore, as none other will be accepted. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties making the same, and all parties interested therein, and must be accompanied by a bond or certified check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, on a solvent bank, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Bids will be received only from parties that have obtained a recorded bid set of drawings and specifications. The successful bidder must post a Performance, Payment, Maintenance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. The City of Cuyahoga Falls shall apply a Local Bid Preference to this invitation as outlined in Section 181.08 of the Codified Ordinance We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Domestic Steel Use Requirements as Specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code Apply to This Project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code Can Be Obtained From Any of the Offices of the Department of Administrative Services SUMMARY OF WORK A. The contractor is to provide bids for 4 different roof sections labeled on the bid form. Please refer to the roof diagram (see attached) for specific roof area identification. The contractor shall also provide a unit price per square foot for metal and concrete deck replacement. B. The scope of work shall include but, not be limited to the following scope of work for each roof section: Section A 1.) Tear off all roofing down to the Concrete roof deck (A). 2.) Repair / Replace decking at a predetermined per sq. ft. cost. 3.) Prime concrete deck as needed to prepare substrate. 4.) Adhere insulation at 1" base layer followed by an 1/8" tapered insulation package. Making sure all joints are staggered and butted up next to each other. 3/4 bead of insulation adhesive 12" O.C 5.) Adhere 1/2 " Dens deck again, making sure all joints are staggered and butted up next to each other. 6.) Install 4' sumped drains with a gravel guard. Coat the smooth membrane. 7.) Install the specified base and cap sheet in a cold adhesive. 8.) Install a 2 ply flashing system using the specified cold adhesive. 9.) All vertical seams are to be 3 coursed. 10.) Flood coat with cold applied coal tar adhesive at a rate of 5 gal per square and gravel at a rate of 400 lbs per square. 11.) Coat all flashings and exposed membrane with aluminizer at the rate of 2 gallon per 100 sq ft. 12.) Install wood blocking as needed and a new metal edge using Garland R-Mer Force and Flat Stock. 13.) Remove old units on roof where specified. 14.) Ensure positive drainage exists throughout. 15.) Add drain inserts with metal drain baskets. Section B, C, D 1.) Tear off all roofing down to the Metal roof deck. 2.) Repair / Replace decking at a predetermined per sq. ft. cost. 3.) Mechanically attach 2 layers of 2.2" Polyiso insulation. Making sure all joints are staggered and butted up next to each other. *Section C is to have a minimum 1" base layer and an 1/8" Tapered Insulation package installed. 4.) Adhere 1/2 " Dens deck again, making sure all joints are staggered and butted up next to each other. 5.) Install 4' sumped drains with a gravel guard. Coat the smooth membrane. 6.) Install the specified base and cap sheet in a cold adhesive. 7.) Install a 2 ply flashing system using the specified cold adhesive. 8.) All vertical seams are to be 3 coursed. 9.)
