The project consists of the following approximate quantities: 105 CY Class 4 Excavation 70 CY Selected Borrow Excavation Coarse Aggregate, No. 2A 590 SY Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S- 22, 0.3 to < 3 million ESALs, 9.5 mm Mix, 1 1/2 " Depth, SRL-L 590 SY Milling of Bituminous Pavement Surface, 1 1/2 " Depth, Milled Material to be Retained by City (Delivered to Stockpile) 85 SY Super pave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course, PG 64S-22, 0.3 to < 3 million ESALs, 25.0 mm Mix, 4 1/2 " Depth 85 SY Subbase 6" Depth (No. 2A) 1 EA Type 4 Manhole, Sanitary Sewer, Height >5' and. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Monessen, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid for construction shall be submitted with each bid. The City of Monessen has established Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) minimum participation levels (MPLs) and HUD Section 3 participation is required for contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MBE/WBE MPSs are five percent for MBE and three percent for WBE of the dollar amount of the bid for this contract. The Contractor must make a "Good Faith Effort" to solicit MBE/WBE participation and Section 3 participation as is applicable for the project. Approx, construction cost - $70,000 - $78,000 Bids may be held by the City of Monessen for a period not to exceed Thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract.
