Butte County is seeking competitive bids to provide potable water hauling to various locations within Butte County on an as needed basis during the declared drought state of emergency per the attached, Specification #1. County intends to award a 1-year contract to the responsible Supplier(s) that combine lowest price with the ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of the subsequent contract. The County reserves the right to award to more than one supplier if it is in the best interest of the County, to ensure product and services are available during times of emergency. During disaster events, County will make every effort to call upon contracted suppliers with best pricing and/or availability first. County does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity of deliveries. The actual number is dependent upon various factors including the number of residents in the program, severity of the drought, and duration of the declared state of emergency. Suppliers wishing to submit bids must complete and sign this 2-page cover sheet and return with the attached completed and signed Specification #1 with bid pricing and 24-hour contact information filled in. Firm pricing is required for the term of the contract. The contractual instrument awarded to the successful supplier(s) will be substantially in the form of the attached sample County contract template. All Suppliers will be compensated by Butte County within Net 30-45 days of invoice receipt (per the terms of the contract). Notes: o "State Firm Delivery Date for All Items" (page 2 of this cover sheet) means how soon product or service can be delivered after a release/order. o "Number of Days Bid is Effective" (page 2 of this cover sheet) means the number of days the bid is valid before a contract must be put in place (typically 30 to 60 days). o The bottom portion of the cover letter (page 2) must be fully completed in order for a bid to be considered. Please make sure that the bid is signed by an authorized signatory of the company. o Contractor shall provide their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if required, with no additional cost to County.
