Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is seeking proposals for the provision of waste collection services for various parks and administrative office facilities across the Greater Toronto Area. The term of the Agreement is three (3) years with an option in favour of TRCA to extend the term for an additional two (2) year period. The initial agreement term shall commence on March 1, 2024, and expire on February 28, 2027. Waste Collection and Management ED ORIC meetings: Attendance at the following PLANK VERSIQocation, "Kick-Off" meeting at TRCA Head and Exchange Avenue, Vaughan; (11 locations) to examine each Site Site meeting at each TRCA facility listed above (11) and meet with TRCA staff to receive/discuss any additional information. TRCA will provide maps to successful proponent upon award of contract. o Any site meeting required throughout the duration of the contract to rectify issues. The Proponent should be represented by a duly authorized person familiar with the Scope of Work, the Services and with the authority to make any relevant decisions. Provide all equipment, containers, transportation and labour for the collection and processing of waste at the waste collection sites that prioritizes waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Trucks must be equipped with a data-log that records the time (within the hour) and service date that they were on TRCA property. The details of the log must be provided to TRCA with each invoice. Deliver clean, lockable and/or critter-proof bins to sites during indicated operating hours Adhere to solid waste and recycling pick-up schedules and service the locations in accordance with the frequency and time schedule as set out in the Pricing Schedule; Schedules and approximate number of pick-ups noted in the Pricing Schedule are estimates. TRCA may reduce the number of pick-ups at any time by notifying the Proponent in advance of regularly scheduled pick-up date(s). Ensure suitable back-up services are available in the event of fleet breakdown, equipment failure or other mishap. Should pick-up not be available on the scheduled days, the successful Proponent must promptly inform the appropriate TRCA Site Representative and confirm a rescheduled pick-up date within 24 hours. In the event the Contractor is unable to provide collection within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up date/time a 50% credit will be applied to the late pick-up fee.
