Renovation of an educational facility in Urbana, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6-square-foot educational facility.
Project Description. The general scope of this project is to replace the existing "once-through" usage of potable/domestic cooling water with a closed-loop chilled-water heat rejection system for laboratories within the Engineering Sciences Building. The targeted areas shall be the basement, first and second floors of the low-rise and, the basement and first floors of the 6-story high rise if the budget supports it. Engineering Sciences Building, 1101 West Springfield, Urbana, IL 61801 Refer to Division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of the base bids and alternates for this project. This project includes a Project Labor Agreement that will be executed between the lowest responsible/responsive bidder and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council. A copy of the Project Labor Agreement is included at the end of Section 00 90 00 Substantial Completion - 199 calendar days ; The Bidder agrees to achieve Final Completion of the Work bid upon within thirty (30) days after Substantial Completion.
