Design Old Redwood Hwy Pavement Preservation from Lakewood Dr to Pan Abode Ct Project. The Town of Windsor (Town) is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to prepare final contract documents (plans, specifications, estimates, etc.) for the Old Redwood Highway Pavement Preservation from Lakewood Drive to Pan Abode Court Project. The project extent is Old Redwood Highway from Lakewood Drive (intersection of Lakewood Drive and Old Redwood Highway is not to be included) to the bridge at Pool Creek. The Town would like to evaluate alternatives for the approximately 45,000 square yards of pavement treatment and approximately 27 curb ramp reconstructions. Curb and gutter replacement and drainage improvements may also be included in the project if necessary. The final design should include updated roadway geometrics to include installation of buffered bike lanes where possible and as recommended by the Town's Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan and Old Redwood Highway Corridor Enhancement Plan. This may require modifications to the raised medians in some locations. A Low Impact Development (LID) determination should also be provided. Funding sources for the project are the Sonoma County Measure DD (Go Sonoma), SB1 Gas Tax, and Town of Windsor Traffic Mitigation Funds. The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to ultimately determine a Town engineering design consultant for the subject project based on consultant qualifications and the proposed scope of work. It will ultimately be up to the selected consultant to develop a scope of services in collaboration with Town staff and evaluate project alternatives. Anticipated consultant services are listed in the following section. The Consultant shall be qualified by experience and license to provide engineering design services within the State of California. The Consultant is expected to work with the Town staff in developing a set of project plans and technical specifications to bid as a public project.
