All bids rejected by school board The Project shall be known as the Chariton High School - HVAC Controls Replacement, Chariton Community School District, Chariton, Iowa. This project in general includes the materials and labor necessary for the replacement of the temperature controls at Chariton High School. Specifically, as per these contract documents, the project includes the replacement of the KMC direct digital control (DDC) system with a new Honeywell DDC system. The new DDC system will include a Tridium front end that is open protocol and non-proprietary. All heat pump controllers will be replaced with new Honeywell controllers. New network control wiring will be installed in a daisy chain to all heat pumps and other equipment. Note, some minor architectural demolition and improvement may be necessary to accommodate the demolition of the existing equipment and the installation of the new control's equipment. Construction Timeline: Construction to begin after receipt of signed contract and after school is dismissed for the Summer, which is approximately June 1, 2024. Substantial Completion Date August 1, 2024 and Final Completion Date August 15, 2024. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form of a Bid Bond on form AIA A310, cashier's check, certified share draft or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or credit union chartered under the laws of the United States shall accompany each bid in a separate, sealed envelope. Bid Security shall be payable to Chariton Community School District. Upon award of a contract, the successful Contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the awarded Contract amount, and within the time set forth within the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall also furnish a copy of its Certificate(s) of Insurance showing coverage is being provided consistent with that stated within the Project Manual. The Bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the project specifications. However, the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract deemed to be in the best interests of the Chariton Community School District.
