Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in El Cajon, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Grossmont Union High School District ("District") is inviting qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for the construction project described below. REPLACE STORM DRAIN AT GROSSMONT CN-3736. Demolition and replacement of the existing storm drain system and concrete sidewalk along the south side of the old gym building in the lower quad area. The storm drain includes about 150 LF of French drain. Some restorative landscaping and irrigation may be required. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided by the District and included in the bid documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to this Notice Inviting Bids, the Instructions for Bidders, and other Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of the bids. This bid is NOT subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements but always encouraged. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120 The class(es) of California contractor's license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: A or B The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The Project is a public work and the successful bidder and each of its subcontractors of any tier will be required to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of per-diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract ("Prevailing Wages").
