Site work for a water / sewer project in Opelika, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of constructing approximately 15,000 L.F. of new 8 and 16,000 L.F. of new 6 water mains and associated appurtenances to replace/upgrade existing water mains. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. No Bidding Documents will be issued after the Pre-Bid conference. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and time with the low bidder. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Poly, Inc., 1935 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL 36303, 334- 793-4700. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund minus shipping charges. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above.
