The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) on behalf of the General Services Department requests proposals from qualified Respondents to provide furnishings alllabor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary to repair the play equipment, fencing, sidewalks, sports fields, and other built features found in the City of Detroit's public spaces. The work to be performed under this contract includes furnishings all labor, equipment, materials and expertise necessary to repair, maintain, and improve fencing, sidewalks, tree grates, various site amenities, sports fields and other built features found in the City of Detroit's Public Spaces. The successful bidder will have the capacity to identify and deploy the skills and equipment necessary for providing site amenity maintenance services as requested by the City, in an economical and effective manner. The city does not guarantee a minimum amount of work under this agreement. The successful bidder will furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary for any of the following sorts of tasks, upon request of the city: o Periodic dragging of ball fields o Removal and disposal of swings, slides or other play equipment o Installation of swings, slides or other play equipment, including protective surfacing o Installation of sports fields and equipment o Installation of concrete and asphalt walkways and surface pads o Installation and repair of concrete/brick walls and walkways o Installation of fencing, bollards, and boulders o Relocation of boulders o Installation of trees and other landscape materials o Repair or replacement of miscellaneous site amenities o Repair of play equipment o Repair of fences o Painting of fences and miscellaneous items o Installation of various drainage infrastructure, including play structures o Hazard mitigation o Storm sewer clean out, videoing of pipes, and necessary repair o Start up and winterization of small park buildings, sprinklers, splash pads, drinking fountains and other amenities o On-site and as needed welding o Drinking fountain and water main/service repair o Splash pad service repair o Lighting and electrical service repair o Rubber Protective Surfacing repair and installation o Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) removal and installation o Site grading and restoration work o Turf establishment o Meadow and/or prairie (wildflower) establishment o Installation and warranty work of trees, shrubs, perennials and other plants o Plant bed preparation, fertilization, mulching, and watering o Installation of soil erosion silt fence o Installation of park signs o As needed topographical survey services o As needed professional engineering design services o Miscellaneous materials and supplies needed to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. The expected services do not include: o Building operations such as at a recreation center or on the park site o Maintenance activities on any privately owned equipment The contractor is required to meet all legal and industry safety standards and must report within 24 hours damage to public or private property occurring in the performance of work.
