Site work for a water / sewer project in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashiers check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal. After the date and hour set for the opening of bids, no bidder may withdraw its bid unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 120 calendar days following the bid opening. All bidders agree to be bound by their bids until the expiration of the stated time period. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2023 edition, as issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), Washington State Chapter, (Standard Specifications) as amended by the Amendments to the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements: The Ferncliff Avenue Water Main Extension Project consists of extending water service along Ferncliff Avenue from the system terminus at NE Garibaldi Loop north to 8980 Ferncliff Avenue, south along Grand Avenue to Fenton Road, west along Fenton Road, and east along Casey Street . The work includes installing 2,046 lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, 1,029 lineal feet of 2-inch polyethylene water main, trenchless and open trench service lines down private driveways, water meters, and associated pavement, shoulder, and landscape restoration. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must meet the mandatory responsibility criteria required by RCW 39.04.350 and any supplemental criteria described in the Contract Documents. Bidders should verify they meet the responsibility criteria before submitting a bid.
