Installation of 6" Diameter Sanitary Sewer Laterals From time to time, the Owner requires the installation of lateral sewers from existing sewer mains to serve adjacent properties. This project includes the installation of any and all lateral installations required during calendar year 2024, with the option to extend the Contract to also include calendar year 2025. The work includes all labor, materials and equipment required to install these laterals including mobilization/demobilization, excavation, bedding, backfill, sanitary sewer pipe and fittings, manholes, connections to the existing mains, temporary restoration of paved areas, and temporary and final restoration of all unpaved areas. Final restoration of paved areas will be performed by others. The Owner cannot guarantee the number of lateral installations required during the length of the Contract. The Work will be performed under one Contract as described as Contract. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, irrevocable letter of credit, or Bid bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) for ten (10) percent of the Bid total. Bidders, subcontractors, their workers and any persons providing labor and products to the Project shall be persons lawfully permitted to work in the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Questions will be accepted until 3:00 P.M, prevailing time, on Friday, February 2, 2024 Bids may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the opening of Bids. After the Bid opening, Bids may be withdrawn only by complying with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania laws and regulations. The Bethlehem Township Municipal Authority hereby reserve the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities in any Bid. Results of the bidding may be reviewed by Bidders on the online website. The apparent low bidder and the next two lowest bidders must submit, to the Engineer, originals of the Bidding Documents within two (2) business days from the date of the bid opening. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening. The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry.
