The Cherokee Nation is requesting sealed proposals for Construction Management At-Risk Services from Indian and non-Indian owned firms. The project is located in Sallisaw (Sequoyah County), Oklahoma. Indian Preference applies to all Cherokee Nation requests for bids or proposals. To receive preference, bidder must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office; proof of certification must accompany submittals. Sallisaw Child Development Center is a new one-story facility comprising of 32,515 SF. This fully sprinkled building is of conventional steel construction with 12 classrooms (4 classrooms being designed for infant care), kitchen, administrative spaces, large gross motor room, and storm shelter. There are three playgrounds for the different age groups along with parking for visitors and staff. There is a drop-off lane for parents and buses, which are covered with single-sloped canopies. Exterior materials include standing seam metal roofconstruction, steel pergolas, precast concrete safe room walls, natural and local stone veneer, composite metal wall panels, CMU veneer, composite wood panels and glazing. The interior of the building utilizes the Tribe's 7- clan colors, which is distributed throughout the classroom and corridors. There is a generator with purpose to back up the storm shelter as well as lighting and servers.
