The project will consist of construction engineering inspection, geotechnical testing (if needed), project administrative services and other related tasks needed for the grading and improving of Mausap Road, near Eight Mile, Alabama. Firms interested in performing this work will be considered on the basis of a written response to this Request for Proposals. All applicants must submit their qualifications and list any prior experience with Federal and State programs, especially CDBG projects and/or other HUD related projects/programs, particularly those similar in nature and scope to the above services being requested. A copy of the Certificate of Authorization in compliance with the Code of Alabama 34-11-9, as required by the State of Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, shall be submitted. Also include the names and registration numbers of inpiduals that would be involved in this project when performing professional services Proposals should include sufficient information to allow for rating according to the following criteria: - Prior experience with CDBG project and/or other HUD projects/programs - 30 pts - Professional Qualifications of key staff members - 30 pts - Successful experience with construction inspection and administration of projects of similar scope - 30 pts - Capacity to perform construction inspection and project administration within a reasonably quick timeframe - 10 pts These proposals are being requested in accordance with 2 CFR 200.320 (d) (5), as issued by the Office of Management and Budget. The firm that is selected will be notified and a contract negotiated. The contract will be for a period coinciding with the completion and closeout of the project for which services are being requested. Additional services related to this or other projects of a similar nature may be contracted under this solicitation at the option of the County. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the proposal process.
