Demolition, site work, remodeling, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Dallas, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 41,134-square-foot educational facility; educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the remodel of a educational facility.
ORG 017 – H. GRADY SPRUCE HIGH SCHOOL – ADDITION AND RENOVATION 1. Main Entrance Canopy: Main Entry on Old Seagoville Road will receive a new canopy, secure vestibule, etc. 2. Administration Remodel: The first floor Administration department adjacent to the Secure Vestibule will be remodeled with a new reception space, offices, restrooms, etc. 3. Miscellaneous Existing Building Renovations: Includes light fixture replacements, flooring replacement, locker removal, casework replacement, courtyard remodel, ceiling replacements, water cooler replacement, etc. 4. Autobody Remodel: Includes paint booth removal and replacement, overhead sectional door, plumbing work, etc. 5. Student Family Resource Center Addition: This addition includes a variety of program spaces for H. Grady Spruce students and their families including offices, meeting spaces, athletic spaces, etc. 6. Athletics Addition and Remodel: The addition includes a +/-2,000 seat competition gymnasium, concessions, locker rooms, offices, storage, etc. The renovation includes remodeled locker rooms, restrooms, weights room, wresting room, training facilities, etc. 7. Site Improvements: Associated site work for the additions includes new or relocated utilities, parking, fire lane, community plaza, etc. Various other site improvements include fencing replacement, public amenities, etc. ORG 137 – JULIUS DORSEY LEADERSHIP ACADEMY – RENOVATION 8. A new secured visitor entry, renovation to a portion of the administration area, and an enlarged vestibule. A new direct entryway into the adjacent reception space and admin offices. All doors will require access control card reader hardware. The existing video intercom system must be rewired to the new reception desk. 9. Renovation of existing counselor room to accommodate new clinic spaces. 10. Associated MEP systems, ceilings, lights and mechanical devices will also need to be updated. 11. Mechanical device and roof hatch relocation will include new roof structure penetrations and infill of existing. 12. Interior renovation is to include new flooring, ceiling, lighting, paint, and upgrades to existing teaching surfaces. 13. Exterior renovation scope is to include exterior light and light pole replacement and updates to main entry sidewalk and marquee sign. A Proposal bond on Dallas ISD Proposal Guarantee Bond Form, from a Surety authorized to transact business in the State of Texas, in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the greatest total amount of the proposed contract amount (Base Price plus all Allowances), payable without recourse to the order of the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees, must accompany the Proposal as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the proposer will promptly enter into and execute the Contract and Performance and Payment Bonds on the forms provided. A separate contract will be issued by Dallas ISD for each school. The Contractor will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds for each contract. Contractor shall be responsible for all permit costs including plan review fees. SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION : 06/30/2026 FINAL COMPLETION : 60 days after Substantial Estimated Construction Budget (CCL + IC + Allowances) $47,635,040.13 Question Deadline 07/17/2024.
