Renovation of a stadium in Bow Island, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The Town of Bow Island current ice plant for the community arena has reached the end of its serviceable life and needs replacement for efficiency upgrades and code compliance. The Town of Bow Island has identified that it will require a new refrigeration system skid building for the community arena and attached curling rink which is to be supplied and installed by the awarded Proponent for adequate plant operation and ease of maintenance. The major objectives of this project are: 1. Provide coordination for electrical and structural designs. 2. Design a complete ice plant refrigeration system. 3. Demolish the existing refrigeration system and remove and dispose of equipment in ice plant room. 4. Supply new skid building to contain ice plant refrigeration system with adequate lighting, heating and cooling, and ventilation. 5. Supply and install a new refrigeration system. 6. Supply and install compressor with sufficient capacity for the refrigeration system. 7. Supply and install adequate condenser. 8. Supply and install new chiller. 9. Supply and install level column, oil pot, and Hansen high side float. 10. Supply and install brine pump for hockey and curling rink loops with suction guide and butterfly valves. 11. Supply and install new thermostat controller for hockey rink and 3-sheet curling rink. 12. Supply and install new MCC. 13. Supply and install new ammonia detection system. 14. All interconnecting piping, valves and connect brine piping to existing header trenches for hockey rink and attached 3-sheet curling rink. 15. Supply and install structure for skid with condenser stand and adequate insulation. 16. Commission ice plant. Documents can be obtained from https://mpe.bidsandtenders.ca/ Bid values are undisclosed.
