The maintenance work consists of asphalt leveling and overlay, area crack filling, asphalt seal coating, and shouldering along with other incidental construction. The anticipated substantial completion date is August 16, 2024 and final completion date is August 30, 2024. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages.
