Scope of Services: The scope of work is a general guide to the work the City expects to be performed by the Consultant and is not a complete listing of all services that may be required or desired. The City of North Port Police Department Facilities will be constructed on three parcels of City owned property located at 6631-6633 Toledo Blade Blvd, in North Port, Sarasota County, Florida. The site is located north of Interstate 75 and west of Toledo Blade Boulevard, in Section 1, Township 39 South, Range 21 East. The site is currently undeveloped open land. This new, critically-hardened, facility will house Police Department Administration and associated functions, and will be programmed to accommodate staff growth to 2050, or roughly 110,000 SF, with the possibility of 'shell' space to accommodate staff growth to 2070. The proposed EOC will be constructed on City-Owned land adjacent to Fire Station 81, located at 4980 City Center Boulevard, North Port, Florida. This new, critically-hardened, facility will house Emergency Management staff day-to-day and serve as the command center during emergency events. This facility is programmed to accommodate staff growth to 2050, or roughly 18,000 SF. The Training Complex will be used to provide practical and realistic training for police, firefighting and emergency service personnel in a controlled environment that replicates actual conditions encountered by first responders. Architectural and engineering services, including facility systems and other specialty services for the design of the Public Safety Training Complex are required, including a master plan design for facility space needs of the current training site located at 6644 W. Price Boulevard, and a master plan design for a 300 x 600 driving pad located at 6664 W. Price Boulevard, in North Port. This could also include, but is not limited to, a new one-story building designed to occupy training offices, classrooms, indoor gun range, storage/vehicle storage, with an onsite simunition shoot house, 300 x 600 driving pad, urban search and rescue props, bulk storage, and emergency medical services training laboratory.
