Estimated Cost $4,500,000 Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate PFAS Water Treatment Plant Addition to the Existing East Street Water Treatment Plant Sub Bid Category Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Masonry, Misc Metals The scope of work includes construction of an approximately 3,250 square foot metal building southwest of the existing East Street WTP for PFAS treatment. The building will contain two pairs of 10-foot diameter pressure vessels and associated equipment, with each vessel containing 20,000 pounds of granular activated carbon (GAC). Site work will include grading, stormwater management infrastructure construction, and utility installation. Additionally, three raw water well pumps will be replaced. The existing chlorine gas system will be converted to sodium hypochlorite inside the existing chlorine gas room. Sodium hypochlorite and sodium fluoride systems will be installed inside the new PFAS treatment building. Associated bid alternative involves solar panels on the WTP. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract.
