Renovation of a municipal facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Project scope includes an interior renovation to a portion of the first and second floors to be utilized as a temporary swing space. The areas noted for the renovation will not be occupied during this renovation but surrounding areas of the first and second floors will remain occupied. 2. Work is to be accomplished while allowing for continuous occupancy of the building. Work includes active participation in the management and coordination of construction under ALL Contracts and move activities by the Owner - all with the intent to minimize disturbance to building occupants. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under coordinated, concurrent multiple contracts. See Section 011200 "Multiple Contract Summary" for a description of work included under each of the multiple contracts. Contracts for this Project include the following: a. General Construction b. Mechanical (HVAC) Work c. Fire Protection and Plumbing Work d. Electrical Work Bid Security shall be made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid plus the cost of all alternates. Security shall be either a CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CASHIERS CHECK or BID BOND issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Owner reserves the right to approve the sufficiency of the required bid security. A Bid shall be rejected unless accompanied by a Bid Security. Bid Security shall be in the form of a certified check, certified bank treasure's check or certified bank cashier's check payable to the Owner or a Bid Bond in the form set forth in the Bidding Documents, naming as payee and obligee, Montgomery County PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND: A. Within ten (10) days of receipt of the Notice of Intent to Award, the successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on the forms provided in the Bidding Documents, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The cost of the Performance Bond and the Payment Bond must be included in the bid amount. B. The Attorney-in-Fact who executes the Performance and Payment Bonds on behalf of the surety shall affix to the Performance and Payment Bonds a certified and current copy of its Power of Attorney, authorizing said Attorney-in-Fact to act on behalf of the surety. The Power of Attorney must be dated the same day as the Performance and Payment Bonds and both shall have affixed the raised corporate seal of the surety. Deadline to submit Questions Jan 25th 2024, 11:00 AM EST DISQUALIFICATION AND REJECTION OF BIDS: A. The Owner reserves the right to disqualify Bids, before or after opening, upon evidence of collusion with intent to defraud or other illegal practices upon the part of the Bidder. B. The Owner has the right to reject bids, which are not responsive, and to not award to any bidder which is deemed to be not responsible. C. The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject all bids in the best interest of the County.
