Pour in Place Safety Surface Replacement at City Park. The project scope is for the Bidder to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required to accomplish the installation of a new Pour in Place Safety Surface at the Brandon City Park playground, located at 1463 West Government Street, Brandon, MS 39042. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive informalities. Scope of Work: a. Furnish, install, and maintain six-foot height panelized/mobile temporary constructions metal fence and hardware as required to protect and secure the limits of work and staging area. Restore any areas disturbed or damaged by the work. b. Remove and dispose of existing PIP Safety Surfacing within limits of the existing playground. c. Protect the existing sub grade of existing playground equipment and appurtenances. d. The existing PIP Safety Surfacing was installed to meet the minimum standards of ASTM F1292, having an estimated existing total thickness of 3.5 to 4.0 inches. The new PIP Safety Surfacing shall meet or exceed this standard and shall be a minimum of 4.0 inches in total thickness. e. Remove and dispose offsite any dynamic or existing gravel subbase as required for new finished work and replace for new profile of new PIP Safety Surfacing. f. Furnish and install PIP Safety Surfacing as existing PIP safety Surfacing, i.e., to the limits of the existing PIP Safety Surfacing, perimeter curbing and sidewalk at entrances. Coordinate grades by the height of adjacent designated play equipment/surface and making flush and fully accessible at existing access/entrances. g. Contractor to furnish and utilize safety surface material which is to be a green and black 50/50 mixture in color (similar in color to existing green safety surface), for the entirety of the safety surface replacement. The work to be completed includes furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for the items of work designated hereinabove and incidental thereto. All work shall be performed in full accordance with these specifications and applicable regulations for the application of the PIP Safety Surface, and as obvious, implied and necessary, and shall be subject to review, approval and inspection of the City's Consulting Engineer
