L. SCOTT STELL PARK IMPROVEMENTS (REBID) The project is located within unincorporated Chatham County at the existing L. Scott Stell Park off of Bush Road. Presently there are eight (S) existing tennis courts and four (4) existing basketball courts as well as associated parking lot. The project consists of removing the existing improvements and reconstructing four (4) new basketball courts, four (4) new tennis courts, ten (10) new pickleball courts, four (4) shelter areas and reconstructing the parking lot as well as associated site and drainage improvements. The project also has three (3) alternatives for preengineered metal "Airnasium" structures for each of the courts if the alternatives are accepted. This project is funded in part or in whole by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Work Shall Begin Within 10 Days After Receipt of "Notice To Proceed." All Work Shall Be Completed Within 270 Calendar Days After the Ten-Day Period Liquidated Damages - Liquidated Damages shall be assessed at $500 per calendar day for work not completed within the Contract period of 270 days. The full amount of liquidated damages will be deducted from the final payment to the Contractor. Fine - A $200 per day fee shall be assessed against the Contractor and withheld from the Contract Price for each and every day that the erosion and sedimentation control plan is not in proper operation. This fee shall be in addition to any penalties or assessments made against the Contractor for noncompliance of the Georgia Water Quality Control Act.
