Pre-bid Estimate: $1,075,000 // Licenses Required: C-8 Bidding RFIs due by 12 Noon, no exceptions February 5 th , 2025 Plant Construction and UCB are seeking responses to a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Trade Subcontractors interested in bidding the Concrete scope on the contract for the UCB Emeryville Optometry Clinic Tennant Improvement, Emeryville, California. Plant Construction and UCB are facilitating an early release bid package that will be administered through Plant and Contracted with UCB directly. Plant Construction seeks trade contractors with significant experience in coordination and Concrete projects that are substantial in size and involve challenging logistical conditions and aggressive schedules. The scope of work will be to participate in coordination and execution of the complete scope listed in the trades breakdown and contract documents for the Project. Contractors must hold valid contractors' licenses registered with DIR and must provide ability to obtain corporate surety (payment & performance) bonds and insurance in order to be eligible for the RFP evaluation. The University intends to cover this project, and all eligible Contractors and Subcontractors of all tiers contracted to perform work at this at this project, under its University Controlled Insurance Program (UCIP). The UCIP provides workers compensation, general liability and excess umbrella liability insurance coverage to all enrolled Contractors and Subcontractors of any tier for work performed at the project site. The project specific UCIP manual can be found within the Bid Manual listed in the Building Connected files tab. Plant reserves the right to reject any or all responses to the RFP and to waive immaterial errors in any response received. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University Policy. Then the final selection will be posted within 5 days after bid opening. After the formal bid results are posted, bidders will have a maximum of 5 days to issue a protest. All protests beyond that date will not be recognized.
