As of October 2025, the project is in design. A timeline for contractor bidding and construction has not been disclosed. RTSX-250056-DS the City of Gainesville (hereafter "City") is requesting the submissions of proposals (RFP) for a qualified and responsible consultant to provide Construction Manager ("CM") services for the design and construction of the $3.6M Regional Transit System (RTS) "Eastside Bus Transfer Facility" (the "Project"). The CM position is not a full-time position. The CM must have experience managing and follow FTA Project Management Oversight Guidelines (as of Jan. 2025 - located in Attachments tab), including administrative documentation throughout the project, and understanding and adherence to federal labor standards like Davis-Bacon Act, environmental regulations, and procurement rules (specifically those required by the Federal Transit Administration). The CM will act as RTS' owner-representative in meetings, conferences, and presentations, working with the City's Capital Projects Manager and reporting to the Director of Transportation as required. The site for RTS Transit Station Facility and Park-and-Ride Lot is located at the intersection of SE Hawthorne Road and SE 24th Street. B. RTS has contracted with Monarch Design Group LLC (MDG) to provide the A&E Services for this project. One of their responsibilities is to develop a detailed cost estimate for the construction.
