he City of Gainesville (hereafter “City”) is requesting the submissions of proposals (RFP) for a qualified and responsible consultant to provide Construction Manager (“CM”) services for the design and construction of the $3.6M Regional Transit System (RTS) “Eastside Bus Transfer Facility” (the “Project”). The CM position is not a full-time position. The CM must have experience managing and follow FTA Project Management Oversight Guidelines (as of Jan. 2025 - located in Attachments tab), including administrative documentation throughout the project, and understanding and adherence to federal labor standards like Davis-Bacon Act, environmental regulations, and procurement rules (specifically those required by the Federal Transit Administration). The CM will act as RTS’ owner-representative in meetings, conferences, and presentations, working with the City’s Capital Projects Manager and reporting to the Director of Transportation as required. The site for the Eastside Bus Transit Facility and Park-and-Ride Lot is located at the intersection of SE Hawthorne Road and SE 24th Street, The Project will be located on Parcel # 11299-000-000.
