Departure Bay pump station and forcemain construction. The DBPS is located at 2936 Departure Bay Road in Nanaimo, B.C. and the forcemain runs from there to the Greater Nanaimo Pollution Control Centre (GNPCC) at 4600 Hammond Bay Road. TIMELINE: Request for proposal from qualified and experienced designer teams to submit proposals to join a collaborative effort to complete the detailed design is closed. Preferred proponent is unreleased. Construction is currently estimated to begin in late 2025/early 2026. Further update in late 2025, upon approvals.
