Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Redding, California. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; water / sewer project; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.

The scope of work for the Base Bid includes rehabilitation of Runway 16-34, Taxiway connectors, and the Runway intersection; construction of a blast pad for Runway 16-34; reconstruction of Taxiway H; application of pavement markings; and electrical improvements. The rehabilitation will include installation of a storm drain pipe, cold milling existing asphalt, repairing cracks after cold milling, paving multiple courses, grade transitions on runway shoulders, and runway grooving. The blast pad construction will include removal of existing asphalt and base, unclassified excavation and subgrade preparation, treatment of subgrade, placement of aggregate base and asphalt paving. The electrical improvements will include adjustment of runway edge lights and threshold lights, as well as taxiway edge lights, adjustment of electrical junction structures, and replacement of sign legends to reflect runway magnetic variations. Reconstruction of Runway 16-34 shoulder The scope of work for the Bid Alternate 1 includes reconstruction of Runway 16-34 shoulder, replacement of Runway 16-34 electrical, and replacement of airfield signage. The shoulder reconstruction will include removal of existing asphalt and base, unclassified excavation and subgrade preparation, treatment of subgrade, placement of aggregate base and asphalt paving. The electrical work will include the removal of existing runway edge lights and base cans, as well as installing new hirls on new base cans. The existing runway conduit, counterpoise, and cable will also be removed and replaced with new materials. The identified existing electrical structures will be removed and new pull boxes and junction cans will be installed, as well as constructing improvements to the vault building. The airfield signage will include removal of existing signs and installation of new signs to reflect taxiway renaming and runway magnetic variations, in addition to the replacement of sign legends. A total of 136 calendar days has been allotted for the Base Bid together with Bid Alternate 1 work The Engineer's Estimate for the Base Bid is $16,260,000. The DBE contract goal is 4.45 percent. Bidders shall meet this DBE goal and/or provide a Good Faith Effort as described in the Instruction to Bidders and the Special Provisions.
