This is a pavement reconstruction project including the 13th Street roadway from about 3011 West 13th Street to Lincoln Avenue. Work also includes bringing existing sidewalks into compliance with ADA requirements. Work will be directed by the City Engineer or their representative and will continue until budgeted funds are exhausted. The project may also include replacement of adjacent curb or driveway as necessary to properly improve the street. The quantities herein represent the Engineer's estimate of the amount of work to be completed. Actual as-built quantities may vary from bid quantities. The contract time shall be per SUDAS Section 1080-1.02, A.1, Completion Date Contracts. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by June 1, 2024, unless modified by Change Order. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day. Contractors and subcontractors on this project will undergo a standardized evaluation upon completion of the work. The results of this evaluation may influence the determination of the contractor's eligibility to bid on future projects as governed by the purchasing policies and city code of the City of Davenport. W 13th Street Reconstruction (Hillandale Rd to Lincoln Ave) For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the Response Attachments tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered.
