Renovation of a mixed-use development in Alvord, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Alvord ISD is requiring the "Door Upgrade Project" to be submited as two (2) separate bids. Bid #1 will consist of replacing all exterior door reinforcement components, mechanical openers, center mullions, integrated automated access control compatibility with commercial grade components. Bid #2 will consist of rekeying and/or replacing all key cores to place the complete district on a master key system. The district is currently majorly equipped with "Best" cores. The new master key system shall allow classrooms to be equipped with an electronic door locking/access control system. Alvord ISD contains four (4) campuses, all centrally located off of Hwy 287 in the city of Alvord. The scope of work for Bid #1 is estimated to include 35 exterior doors to be upgraded/replaced. The scope of work for Bid #2 is estimated to include 100 exterior doors, 100 classrooms, and 175 interior doors.
