Asphalt Overlay Phase II The project consists of, but not limited to, milling of existing asphalt overlay, wedge and level of new asphalt, new asphalt overlay, asphalt joint sealer, shoulder backup, traffic control, and associated work to complete the project on the following roads and, in order of: Oldfield Point Road 2.80 miles Irishtown Road 2.37 miles Old Elk Neck Road 0.19 miles Ebenezer Church Road 2.70 miles McGrady Road 1.52 miles Total for Base Bid 9.58 miles Add Alternate: Liberty Grove Road 1.12 Miles Question Deadline: 02/20/2024 at 12:00 PM ET, All questions shall be asked using the question & answer feature via online . All work for this contract shall be completed in 50 calendar days or no later than June 14, 2024, and shall begin on the actual start date of the Project as per Notice to Proceed The Contract may be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Cecil County, Maryland reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. All contract awards are based upon budgetary constraints five (5) percent of the total base bid amount, which will be forfeited to the County as liquidated damages in case an award is made, and the Contract and Bond are not promptly and properly executed as required within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The certified check and/or bid bonds of all except the two lowest bidders shall be returned after the Contract is awarded; and the checks of the two lowest bidders shall be returned after the proper execution of the Contract Documents with the low bidder All projects are subject to funding approval by Cecil County Council and the Cecil County Executive. If the price increase is approved, the price will remain firm for twelve (12) months.
