Bell County Water Control & Improvement District No. 1 (District) is soliciting a Request for Bid for Grinding its stockpile of raw brush at the Copperas Cove Compost Facility located in Copperas Cove, Texas. It is understood and agreed that the work is to be completed in full within 40 Calendar Days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. The bidder shall initial each page and sign and date the last page of the bid in the packet that is representative of his offer. The person signing the Bid must have authority to bind the firm to a contract. Bids which are not signed and dated in this manner may be rejected. Bids received after the deadline shall be considered void and unacceptable and will be returned to the bidder unopened. The District is not responsible for lateness or non-delivery of mail, carrier etc. The bid will be marked with the time and date of receipt. This will be considered the official time of receipt. Facsimile and e-mail transmittals will not be accepted. The sealed envelope containing the completed bid shall be marked legibly on the outside with description of the item being proposed as shown on the cover sheet of the Request for Bid The City of Copperas Cove steadily brings in raw brush that gets stockpiled. It is the Districts responsibility to maintain, which includes the grinding of brush and removal of mulch. The District wants to grind ALL raw brush and have it neatly stockpiled. The District is requesting bids for the grinding of ALL raw brush material. The Contractor shall provide all equipment and labor to perform the grinding requirements. The raw brush needs to go through no larger than a 3" x 3" Grinder screen. There is brush being brought in daily; Bid needs to include grinding everything on site once Grinding has commenced. Once Grinding has begun; Bell County will barricade off the pile so no more brush will be added. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bids cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline.
