Site work for a water / sewer project in Nakusp, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose of this request for proposal (RFP) is to select a qualified and experienced firm to design, supply and install liner for disused Rapid Infiltration Basins at the Village of Nakusp's wastewater treatment plant. The Village of Nakusp Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) includes six former Rapid Infiltration Basins(RIBs) within the property limits of the WWTP. One of the six former RIBs is in use as a receiving pond for byproduct greywater from the DAF plant. A second pond was lined in anticipation of its use in a future reclaimed effluent irrigation project, which did not proceed to fruition. The four remaining former RIBs are unused and unlined. It is proposed to reuse the existing lined former RIB that is currently holding rainwater and to add liners to the remaining four disused, unlined former RIBs. Following completion of the works, they will serve as wastewater storage and process lagoons to facilitate the desludging maintenance of the existing aerated cells and will develop the long term capacity development of the WWTP. Should the Village of Nakusp choose to proceed with selection of a preferred bidder to enter into a contract, it is the Village's intention to adopt the Canadian Construction Documents Contract Form 14 2013 Design Build Stipulated Price Contract Form (CCDC 14-2013).
