Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in East Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Work under this contract includes repair and replacement of sidewalk sections from on the west side of Main Street (Route 5) from Orchard Street to just past the property at 1195 Main Street in the Town of East Hartford. The sidewalk will be replaced partially with a stamped design and stained to match the aesthetics of the sidewalks south of Orchard Street. It also includes other appurtenant work such as resetting of utility valves and electric boxes along with providing an opening for future tree planting, and maintenance and protection of traffic. Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond, payable to the Town of East Hartford, is required of all bidders and a 100% Performance Bond will be required of the awarded bidder. This project is funded through HUD's Community Development Block Grant Program. The awarded contractor will be subject to federal requirements, including, but not limited to, paying federal prevailing wages per the Davis Bacon Wage Act.
