Government Center Turnstile Replacement. The Contractor represents that it is an expert in relation to the work to be performed under this Agreement. The Contractor further represents that it has the requisite skill, expertise, and knowledge necessary to perform the scope of services required under the terms of this Agreement, including any supplementary work and the City relies upon said representation in executing this Agreement. This Bid Specification was prepared to solicit sealed bids on behalf of the City of Stamford Operations Department from qualified responsible contractors for the design, procurement, and installation of access control turnstiles at City Government Center. The scope of work is further delineated in the attached specifications and drawings provided for this project. If the project is not completed by the date specified as the substantial completion date in the contract entered into by the City and the Contractor, the Contractor shall pay all direct damages suffered by the City and consequential and/or liquidated damages in the daily amount of 1/10 of 1% of the total contract value. The scope of services shall consist of those duties, functions, obligations, responsibilities, and tasks set forth in Bids must be accompanied with a bid bond or certified check, payable to the City of Stamford, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price including any add alternates.
