This Contract includes removing approximately 76,000 gallons of biosolids and debris from Primary Digester 2 and 3. The project also includes cleaning the interior of the two anaerobic digesters, providing new access manways, and modifying the overflow piping, all to be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications as prepared by the City of Yakima. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Yakima. The Contract includes: the agreement form, Bidder's completed Proposal form, all required certificates and affidavits, Performance Bond and Public Works Payment Bond, Contract Provisions, Contract Plans, and all Addenda and Change Orders executed pursuant to the provisions of the Contract Please return your lowest price for the above referenced project to the Yakima City Clerk's Office, 1st floor of City Hall, 129 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington, 98901, by the time and date indicated in the invitation to bid, in a sealed envelope labeled WWTF Primary Digester 2 and 3 Cleaning, with the bid due date written on it. The City of Yakima in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award.
