Reference Number 0000341527 The City of Lafayette is excited to initiate its first water valve exercising and assessment program. The City has approximately 3900 water valves throughout the distribution system and, as a preliminary first step, has set a goal of exercising and assessing 500 valves (or 1/8 of the total) this year. The outcome and required effort to complete these initial 500 valves will aid in establishing the extent of the program for future years. If project budget remains after the 500 valves have been completed, additional scope may be added at the proposed unit prices.
