Site work and paving for a civil project in Issaquah, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing engineering design for seismic improvements to NW Gilman Bridge over Issaquah Creek. The proposed improvements include widening the bridge deck to improve lateral seismic stability, wrapping existing structural columns, and providing new bike and pedestrian facilities.This project has a 20% DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows. Structural design for seismic retrofit Geotechnical exploration of subgrade Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications. Determination of R/W needs and R/W plan preparation. The anticipates scope of work for the selected consultant includes, but is not limited to: Project Management Structural engineering Civil engineering – produce construction ready plans, cost estimates, and contract specifications. Environmental documentation and permitting. Determination of R/W needs and a R/W project funding estimate Other directed services and needed by the City. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel this RFQ, issues a new RFQ, reject any or all Proposals, seek or obtain data from any source that has the potential to improve the understanding and evaluation of the responses to this RFP, seek and receive clarifications to a Proposal and waive any deficiencies, irregularities, or technicalities in considering and evaluating the Proposals. This RFQ does not commit the City to enter into a contract or proceed with the procurement of the project. The City assumes no obligations, responsibilities and liabilities, fiscal or otherwise, to reimburse all or part of the costs incurred by the patties responding to this RFP. All such cost shall be borne solely by each Submitted. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Project Schedule Design of this project is anticipated to begin in late 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2025.
