Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) solicitations are either Requests for Proposals (RFP), or Invitations for Bids (IFB). MST sends RFPs to obtain proposals when a contract is competitively negotiated, with price and other factors evaluated to determine the proposal offering the best value to MST. SCOPE OF WORK Project Overview: The objective of this project is to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the designated landscape area. The scope of work includes various tasks to improve the overall aesthetics, sustainability, and usability of the space. Tasks: 1. Site Assessment: o Evaluate the current condition of the landscape area. o Identify existing plantings, hardscape features, and any issues that need attention. o Document any specific client preferences or requirements. 2. Site Preparation: o Clear the area of debris, weeds, and unwanted vegetation. o Remove any dead or diseased plants. o Prepare the soil for planting, including amending the soil as necessary. o Install new plants, shrubs, trees, and flowers as per the approved design. o Ensure proper spacing and depth for planting. o Use appropriate soil amendments and mulch for plant health and aesthetics. o that outlines regular care for the newly landscaped area. 3. Cleanup: o Remove all construction debris and waste materials from the site. o Ensure the landscape area is left clean and presentable. 4. Final Inspection: o Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure that all elements meet the project's requirements and design specifications. o Address any outstanding issues or client concerns. Project Completion: Upon completion of the landscape beautification project, the area should exhibit improved aesthetics and functionality, aligning with the approved design and client expectations.
