The South Sioux City Public Library is soliciting qualifications from architecture firms for the modernization and improvement of its current space, with a focus on enhancing popular areas and making better use of library spaces. The selected firm will be responsible for professional services for this project, including design and construction management. The library is exploring various federal, state, and private funding opportunities to support this project, which is envisioned as a phased approach. Submittals must include a letter of interest and qualifications. Review and recommendation will be conducted by the South Sioux City Library Advisory Board and forwarded to the City Council Selection Committee. Evaluation criteria include: (1) Technical expertise of the firm; (2) Past performance on similar projects; (3) Familiarity with the community and project type; (4) Capacity of the firm; (5) Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, procurement methods, and compliance issues; (6) Key personnel; (7) Management plan; and (8) Time/Scheduling.
