Description of work: This project consists of the removal and replacement of Lift Station No. 6, located on Knox Road 600E, just south of US 150. Equipment includes new two submersible pumps, valve vaults and related pipes and fittings required for installation. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Bid Security Form" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the Galesburg Sanitary District, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The Galesburg Sanitary District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and reserves the right to determine the qualifications of any and all contractors to perform the work required under this contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
