Reference Number 0000341326 The County of Dutchess is issuing this Request for Proposal to award a contract to a qualified firm to develop a Transportation Safety Action Plan (i.e., SAP) that aligns with USDOT's Safe Streets for All program (SS4A), NYSDOT's Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee's Highway Strategic Safety Plan (HSSP), and the Dutchess County Transportation Council's (DCTC's) long-range plan (Moving Dutchess Forward), to help guide the DCTC and its partners' planning recommendations, programmatic activities, and funding decisions, with a goal to reduce crashes, especially fatal and serious injury crashes, across all modes on all public roads in Dutchess County. The SAP should be designed to enable any municipality within Dutchess County to pursue SS4A implementation funding. The analysis and recommendations from the SAP will also be incorporated into the DCTC's next long-range plan in 2026.
