Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Whitehall, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Removal of the existing parking lot surface, utilities, and other removal sheet items. Install new storm, electrical, and conduit for irrigation. Site improvements includes curb & gutter, integral colored concrete, standard concrete, HMA paving, masonry seat wall, restroom building, lighting, and site furnishings. Restoration of site includes new landscaping and seed with imported topsoil. Doc Notes: Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $190.00 dollars. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $103.50.00 dollars. A $20 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. FUNDING : The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by local funds. Bond Notes: A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to The City of Whitehall in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of forty-five (45) days after the receipt of bids. Owner Rights: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days thereafter. Award of the project is anticipated on March 12, 2024 with Notice to Proceed anticipated in March 19, 2024. COMPLETION DATE : The projects shall be substantially completed by November 1, 2024 and ready for final payment on November 8, 2024.
