Application of a Bituminous Material (Chip Seal) and the aggregate cover material (1ST Stone). c. Application of a Bituminous Material (Fog Seal). d. Mechanical removal of all excess aggregate cover material after the application of the Chip Seal course. e. Re-establish all existing pavement markings with reflectorized marking paint on new wearing courses. f. Provide Maintenance and Protection of Traffic at all times during the Term of the Contract. Placement of Variable Message Boards on each County Road section prior to the start of work. 2. The Bidder is advised to visit the sites and become acquainted with the locations and conditions under which the work will be done. Sealed bids, for the performance of work, providing all services and furnishing all materials hereinafter described, shall be received at the Office of the Director of Purchasing and Central Services, Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello, New York, until 1:00 PM on Friday, February 16th,2024 at which time said bids will be opened and read publicly. 4. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality. 5. No work is anticipated to begin before April 8th, 2024 and it is intended that all work shall be completed by July 3rd, 2024. 6. Obligation of Bidder - The attention of persons intending to make proposals is specifically called to the fact that no plea will be accepted in which a Contractor pleads misunderstanding or deception because of estimates of quantities, character, scope of work, location or other conditions surrounding the same. Permission will not be given to withdraw, modify or explain any proposal or bid after it has been deposited.
