“The owner has selected a Design Builder which is Bobbitt Construction. No timeline has been established as yet. However, the fire station must be completed by October 3, 2025.” Design and construct a fire station building. The fire station will house 3 engines, tanker, brush truck, utility truck, a rescue truck, 20 volunteers, and 6 part-time employees. The general floor plan and site layout will include five apparatus bays on the first floor with all five bays exiting out onto W. Martin Luther King Blvd with drive-through capabilities. It will also include fire personnel offices and meeting/community/EOC room along with private spaces including dayroom, kitchen, dining and sleeping quarters. More detail is attached. Site work will include curb and gutter, sidewalks, underground utilities, on-site parking, and landscaping. The scope of work is to provide design and construction services for the project throughout preconstruction and construction phases, including but not limited to, schematic design, preliminary design, construction documents, coordination with other agencies, geotechnical engineering, surveying, cost opinions during design development, final design meeting State and local requirements, technical specifications, cost opinion at various stages of the project, obtaining all necessary permits, scheduling, cost control, project management, constructing the fire station, quality assurance and quality control of design and construction related activities, construction management, and completing project close-out activities. The contractor will be required to coordinate with other vendors hired by the Town to complete specific fire IT systems. The Town of Roseboro is soliciting requests for qualification (RFQ) statements from firms interested in providing design-build services for a new Roseboro Fire Station. The total project, including station furnishings, will be paid for with state grant funds. new Roseboro Fire Station. The scope of work is to provide design and construction services for the project throughout preconstruction and construction phases. The statement of qualification shall be limited to 40 pages.
