Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fitness / recreation center in Springfield, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 12,200-square-foot fitness / recreation center; for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.

Gym Expansion - Construction This project consists of the construction of two additions to the existing CEM Gymnasium. The north addition is approximately 6,900 SF and will house the County Emergency Operations Department. The south addition is approximately 5,300 SF and will house the County Recreation Department. The structure of the additions is loads-bearing CMU and light gauge metal stud trusses. The roofing is standing seam metal to match existing. The exterior veneer is masonry to match existing. The north EOC addition, and a portion of the existing gymnasium will be on a generator. Associated sitework is also included. The existing gym must remain open and operational during construction. Any questions that arise after the pre-proposal conference must be made in writing via the County's eProcurement Portal no later than 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) on Monday, March 4, 2024. Questions will only be answered if submitted through the County's eProcurement Portal. Questions will be answered via the eProcurement Portal and/or via an addendum posted on the Effingham County eProcurement Portal on or before 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
