Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the construction of a 38,280-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Work consists of the following: New Construction 1. NMSU Agricultural Modernization Phase II: ACES-SLC at approximately 38,280 sf. The building to be located on NMSU's main campus in Las Cruces New Mexico on Knox Street South of the Food Science Building. 2. Loading Dock to support the Food Science Building and ACES-SLC will be constructed first and consists of new fencing to tie into existing fencing, loading dock to support semi trucks and an animal loading ramp to support trailer drop off. 3. Building includes Prefabricated Metal Building, Structural, Building Controls, IT, AV, Security, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems. 4. Communal Restrooms and Classroom are in adjoining CMU buildings with metal joist roof structure. 5. Sitework/Landscaping including the support of semitruck access and truck with trailer access to the building, animal access from adjacent site pens to the south and west and addressing of drainage from and across site Demolition 1. Demolition of site pen fencing, site concrete and pen shade structures. Deadline for Questions Bidder 2/15/2024 @ 5:00 PM (Local Time) Deadline for Addendum(s) NMSU Procurement Services 2/20/2024 @ 5:00 PM (Local Time) Subcontractor Listing Threshold NMSU Project Manger/Bidder $5000 Time for Completion of Work Awarded Bidder 360 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed Liquidated Damages Awarded Bidder $ $2000/day A Bid Bond payable to NMSU in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid submitted must accompany each Bid. This serves as a guarantee that, if awarded the BID, the Bidder will enter into a contract with NMSU. This 5% Bid Bond must be in a form satisfactory to NMSU that is executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Mexico. When a construction contract is awarded in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the following bonds or security shall be delivered to the state agency or local public body and shall become binding on the parties upon the execution of the contract. If a contractor fails to deliver the required performance and payment bonds, the contractor's bid shall be rejected, its bid security shall be enforced to the extent of actual damages. A performance bond satisfactory to the state agency or local public body, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state and said surety to be approved in federal circular 570 as published by the United States treasury department or the state board of finance or the local governing authority, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the price specified in the contract; and a payment bond satisfactory to the state agency or local public body, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state and said surety to be approved in federal circular 570 as published by the United States treasury department or the state board of finance or the local governing authority, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the price specified in the contract, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in the contract.
